Hey ho, Baguio!
Supposedly our band will play in Baguio but due to uncontrolled circumstances, we cancelled our Baguio tour but nothing can stop me to go up north for the second time haha! But then I invited my “friends” but no one gives a f…. to go with me to Baguio huhuhu
So without hesitation, I packed my things and went to the bus terminal. I shared the other seat with Green Apple Production’s founder/booking agent/manager Ms. Ajie Recto. It was a safe trip except for the zig zag road. After long 7 hours of sitting and two stop-overs, we landed at Baguio with flying colors. Weeee
We went straight to the transient house we rented and dropped off our things. We went directly to clubs/bars to freshen up. I don’t want to mention the club’s name because its so bastos. Ewww.
By the way, I was with these awesome bands throughout my stay in Baguio - Bubblegoo, Triplehorns and DirtyHate. Other bands like Banat Boys and Sud were with us some other time.

After partying like a rockstar and dancing Gangnam Style, we went home to sleep for about 4 hours. We woke up hungry and decided to eat at 50’s Diner where they serve a LOT and charge us at an affordable and reasonable price.

…and here’s the enemy they named “Gangsta Gangsta” (fried chicken, pork chop, 2x large spring rolls, mixed veggies, rice topped with fried egg… for only 140pesos, not bad)

After eating, we went to more adventure! Walked around Burnham Park. Saw colorful horses and enormous mutant doggies at Mines View Park. Waited for the zombie walk but turned out to a Jollibee-leaflet-giving at Session Road… and visited Ayuyang Bar before the gig!

Then at 6pm, the gig happened! Awesome lineup! Triplehorns, Bubblegoo, DirtyHate, Sud, The Lowtechs, Ibarra, Banat Boys, Mayonnaise and more! The food at Ayuyang was great! The beer… forever cold! Hehehe

The last band to play was Mayonnaise and they played old songs like the ones that I’ve been listening since highschool after they won at Muziklaban. They played The Only Thing, Bakit Part 2 and Jopay!!! The gig ended at 1am. Yes! There’s curfew. Car few. But then, no one stopped us for the after party hahaha! We were so drunk and hungry and we searched for a 24hour restaurant except for 711, Ministop and Mcdonalds. We ended up at Tatay Diaz bulaluhan. The bulalo was GREAT! I can’t compare Baguio’s bulalo with Tagaytay’s bulalo but it was so GREAT! Really great!
After eating (again), we decided to go home… but, we told the taxi driver to pass us by at Teacher’s Camp where there lies a haunted mansion. We had some quite of goosebumps while slowly driving.
By the way, the taxi in Baguio is cheap. 30pesos flat rate and NO AIRCON. Who needs aircon in Baguio?
Go home, sleep, woke up 11am, eat, prepare and leave. Bought “pasalobong” for the people left in Manila then went straight to the bus terminal. Going home is fun! Nice view of the mountains of Benguet. Stop overs at La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Angeles, Pampanga.

Can’t tell you all the things we did. All I can say is “what happened in Baguio, stays in Baguio” :)
